All trails are open and the base is at 35-40″ at Ober Gatlinburg this year. Far cry from last year. Snow tubing has been very popular this year and has been sold out until January 8th 2018. If you are coming to the Smokies and plan on tubing make sure you get your tickets online here:
On Friday May 26th, the Gatlinburg sky lift started rolling up and down the mountain again. They lengthened the distance of the ride as well. The landing below Ober is still closed so you go up circle around and come back down currently. They say the landing should be completed by fall. All brand new chairs. The gondola next door is still running people to Ober.
The skillet breakfasts are to die for. Bring a big appetite, it’s a ton of food. They are known for their cinnamon buns, once you walk in the front door you’ll see why.
Located toward the end of the strip towards the park entrance near Sugerland Distillery. Parking is sort of an issue, if the spots they have available are full there is a lot next door that you can pay to park. Totally worth it! The decor is unbelievable. A definite must visit!
