Shopping & Dining

When you visit Dollywood, be sure to take some time to browse the shops and find the perfect souvenir to bring back home with you! Before your visit is over, you have to try some of the world famous cinnamon bread from The Grist Mill, or a slice from the Spotlight Bakery’s 25-pound apple pie!


Dollywood Festivals

Throughout the year, Dollywood puts on incredible festivals for visitors to enjoy. There’s the award-winning Smoky Mountain Christmas that is sure to get you in the holiday spirit, the Barbeque & Bluegrass Festival where you can eat the tastiest barbeque you’ve ever had while listening to incredible bluegrass music, and the Harvest Festival where you can watch the leaves change in the fall while listening to the uplifting sounds of Southern Gospel. Where to Stay

Our Lazy Bear Cabin is only about a 15 minute drive from Dollywood! It’s the best place to stay when you visit the theme park. It’s located right between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and offers just the right amount of seclusion. Admire the stunning mountain views as you relax in the bubbling hot tub, or shoot a game of pool inside! This 1 bedroom cabin in the Smoky Mountains has everything you need to feel right at home.

Winterfest 2018 in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge Coming November 6th!

It might be before Thanksgiving, but the Smokies can’t wait to show off her true colors. The annual winterfest in the Smoky Mountains begin November 6th and end on February 28th. To start the festival Gatlinburg is holding its yearly Chili Cookoff presented by the neighboring Bush’s Beans. This event is being held at 715 Parkway in Gatlinburg across the street from Fannie Farkle’s.  They will have a stage set up for several bands. Tons of food vendors will be showing off their best chili! 5-8pm. $10 entry. 

Pigeon Forge Rod Run!

Pigeon Forge Rod Run!

April 19th – 21st Pigeon Forge will host the Rod Run 2018. This show draws crowds and enthusiasts from all over the region. Traffic is always a problem during these types of events so traveling early and leaving late will generally get you around town fairly quick. If your stuck in the traffic at least there are tons of awesome cars to gawk at!

Winterfest has begun!

Lazy Bear Cabin near Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge will be decorating at the end of November to coincide with Winterfest! Winterfest in Gatlinburg kicked off tonight, November 8th with a Chili Cookoff.  The beautiful lights will run 24 hours a day until February 28th 2018.

Starting November 8th, Gatlinburg turns into a winter wonderland with Christmas lights for the season. The best way to see the lights is on the trolley ride of lights. The trolley picks you up at the Gatlinburg welcome center at light #5  at 6:30pm, 7:30pm and 8:30pm. Children under 3 are free if they sit on the parent’s lap. Cost is $5.00. For reservations call the Gatlinburg welcome center at 865-436-0535. November is a great month to see the lights as it is not too cold.
